The finished Christmas Tree

I can't believe it's only a week until Christmas Day, but most of all I can't believe that I'm pretty much ready! Except for the things you can't do until the last minute anyway.

The temperature is +2C and the ground is green and brown, which has become what Christmas looks like in Nova Scotia in the early 2000's. When I was growing up (a few decades ago, OK several decades ago) we usually had about 2 feet of snow for Christmas. Sleds and toboggans were getting their workouts. A green Christmas was unusual and quickly remedied within a day or so!

This is the way winter used to be:

But I digress. I want to show you the Christmas tree!

All of the decorations are made with Stampin' Up! papers, ribbons, tools, embellishments (with the exception of the angels heads).

I had lots of help with the decorations - Linda, a member of our ASI team made all the gorgeous bird houses, little purses, and most of the Elegant Ornaments.

We chose to use a whole variety of colours - although the Real Red is most prominent. But the same thing could be done in blue tones, or jewel tones... Imagine a display of Stampin' Up! trees - all with a different theme!

Hope you enjoyed the tree, and maybe even got some inspiration for your own!

Happy Stamping!
Carol
