My Favourite Stamp Set!

Let me qualify that - my favourite stamp set THIS WEEK (maybe longer...)

I have wanted this stamp set for a while but couldn't justify it, then it got close to the new catalogue and I wanted to make sure it wasn't retiring (demos have to worry about stuff like that!). But when I saw it in the new catty I knew its time had come!

Stippled Blossoms! YOU'RE MINE!

I love roses to begin with, so why I waited so long is a mystery to me. But these two-step roses are so beautiful (and easy with the stamp-a-majig)

The colours for the roses are Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals, the leaves are Wild Wasabi and Gumball Green.

I also used the NEW Candy Dots from the 2013-2014 Catalogue - those are my new favourite embellishment! They are great for one layer cards as they give a brad look without the legs showing on the inside.

This card was inspired by Sandi MacIver, but I had to change a few things...

The Primrose Petal background piece was stamped with a retired wheel in Raspberry Ripple. The embossing folders used are the NEW Beautifully Baroque (white) and Square Lattice (Wild Wasabi).

I'm sure you'll be seeing more of this stamp set on this blog in the future! Now back to my craft table!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

CHRISTMAS SETS

As you've probably noticed in the new catalogue the Christmas stamp sets are conspicuous by their absence!
However there are still several you can purchase that are carry-overs from last year. These sets will be available at least until next May 31, 2014. If you want to start your Christmas cards now you can see more information about the sets here!!

Successful Open House

Yesterday afternoon was the date of my 4th annual Open House and Retirement sale. Many of my wonderful customers came, received their new catalogue, rushed the retired stamp sets table, and browsed the other sale tables and displays. Everyone seemed to be having a good time!

Our Atlantic Stampers Ink team were there too - keeping me sane and doing most of the work! Louise looked after the stamps, and Sandi was in charge of food, while Maree and Linda supervised the Make and Takes. Brian, my husband and a retired banker, looked after the money pot. As you probably figured that didn't leave a lot for me to do except chat with the visitors and draw names for door prizes!

During the next few days I'll be showing you some of the samples we made. The first one is a set of note cards made using the new Ronald McDonald House stamp set "Tag It".

I used some new stuff on the first card below. I coloured the stamp set with markers before I stamped it to give the variety of colours. Then I chose three of the Daffodil Candy dots and stuck them on. The sentiment from Sassy Salutations seemed to compliment the spirit of the card too.

The second card uses the new stamp set Flower Shop and the new punch Pansy. Again the front sentiment is from Sassy Salutations.

I think the "I dig you" stamp is so cute! Again I coloured the stamp with markers before stamping, and punched the little yellow flowers are punched using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.

Finally the Christmas card (this set is good for all year round!) I coloured the stamp with markers again - this is such an easy way to really make a wow image. Once you have it all coloured, just huff on it a couple of times to refresh the ink, and stamp! The background is made with the new Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.

Drop back soon to see more samples!

Happy Stamping!

Matching Gift Box and Card

Here's another project from Craft Project Central - I couldn't resist!

I've used paper from the new Modern Medley Designer Series Paper. It has different designs in Basic Black and Very Vanilla, and is oh-so-classy!

The drawer opens to hold jewellery, a pretty scarf, love notes...

The card is slightly different with a contrasting band across the front. The stamp set used is Apothecary Art, and the colours are Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz.

I'm madly working on getting ready for my Open House on Sunday so I'll have lots to share with you after that!

Happy Stamping!
