The Canadian Olympic Team's 26 medals marks its most successful Winter Games ever, eclipsing the previous record of 24 in Turin in 2006. The 14 gold medals are the most at the 2010 Games, and the all-time record for Winter Games.
Canada collected medals in nine sports in 2010 while achieving top-8 results in all 13 sports. This nation's most recent Olympic champions, taking their place in history, are: Alex Bilodeau (freestyle moguls), Maƫlle Ricker (snowboard cross), Christine Nesbitt (speed skating, 1,000 m), Ashleigh McIvor (ski cross), Jon Montgomery (skeleton), Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse (bobsleigh), Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir (figure skating, ice dance), Charles Hamelin (short track, 500 m), the women's ice hockey team, the men's 5,000 m relay short track team, the men's speed skating pursuit team, Jasey-Jay Anderson (snowboard, parallel giant slalom), the men's curling team, and the men's ice hockey team.
