Christmas Club Card

I promise I won't post too many Christmas cards... at least before mid October... (I DO love them), but I wanted to show you the card we are making at our August Christmas Club:

My eye was caught by the Beautiful Season set because I love chickadees and feed them all year round in our yard. They are such experts at taking turns - at least with their flock, but if an outsider tries it's a different story.

Everyone made 10 cards the same, with corresponding images inside and on the envelope.
The cardstock used is Old Olive, Real Red, and Whisper White. The chickadee image was coloured using our Marvelous Markers scribbled onto heavy plastic and then picked up and 'watercoloured' using the blender pens. The inks used were Old Olive,Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, plus the white gel pen to give the berries highlights. The edge of the oval (cut with the Big Shot and largest oval on the Ovals die) was sponged with Old Olive then rimmed with two-way glue pen and lightly dipped in Dazzling Diamonds to give it just a hint of sparkle. We used the Poinsettia Embossing Folder on the background cardstock, and the Scallop Trim Border punch for the white edges.

The Christmas Club meets every month, August to December. We'd love to have you join us!

Happy Stamping
Carol
