So you would like to give a little gift to your co-workers, but you don't want to start a tradition or break the bank...what to do...
Here's a little gift that is small enough to keep the receiver from feeling guilty, but big enough to let them know you care.
You've seen it before on my blog,
but this time I've used Snow Festival Designer Series Paper and it gives it a whole new look and you can make it up in 10 minutes!
It's the Hot Chocolate Gift packet - complete with a rolled wafer to munch while they sip! And if they are smart, they'll keep the packet and refill it to give to someone else!
Directions to make packet:
1. Cut cardstock or Designer Series Paper to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score at 4 1/4" on the long side as you would if making a card. If you have the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, score the front cover at 5 3/4" with the paper fully open. Otherwise fold the card and measure out 1 1/2" on the top, and 2 3/4" on the right hand side and score a line between the two. Fold under and attach.
2. Run a strip of sticky tape along the inside bottom of the card, close to the edge, and attach the two sides together so that the hot chocolate won't fall out of the bottom.
3. Punch two 1/4" holes - one above the other - on the right hand side of the card through both pieces of DSP (see photo above, the hole you see is the top one).
3. Cut a piece of coordinating cardstock (in mine it's Cherry Cobbler) 4 1/4" by 1 1/2". Punch the bottom edge with your favourite border punch, I used the Scallop Trim Border punch.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4" x 1" and stamp your greeting. The one I used is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp set.
Glue the Whisper White to the Cherry Cobbler and attach it to the bottom front of the packet, just below the punched holes.
Using the delightful Sweater Trim (approximately 12") thread it from front to back through the bottom hole, leaving 4-5" in front. Then take the Sweater Trim from the back and wrap it around the front - leaving a loop for the wafer and threading it down through the top hole. Place the treat in the loop and pull it snug, tie a bow with the two ends.
Tuck the Hot Chocolate into the pocket and you're done!
I'm sure your friends will appreciate your little treat!
