SUDSOL BLOG TOUR TODAY!

Welcome to the SUDSOL Blog Tour and Creating With Carol. I've been a SUDSOL member for years and heartily recommend it to any Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

I want to share three cards and a 3D project with you today, all can be easily made at a workshop or Stamp-a-Stack.

The first uses the new Work of Art stamp set along with the Too Kind stamp set.

This card uses my favourite new In Colour - Mossy Meadow, along with the Chevron Border Punch and the Banners Framelits.

This is a fun little gift favour that is made with the Envelope Punch Board, and the new Lullaby Designer Series Paper.

Finally my last card uses the new Hostess Stamp Set Bloom with Hope and the new Blendabilities. You are going to LOVE the Blendabilities and they are available to order TODAY!!

Stop back later this week and you'll find directions for all of these items.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog, and don't forget to check out SUDSOL's two week free membership - you'll find plenty of ideas and inspiration along with tutorials, classes, business info, and more!

Freshly Made Sketches

I'm participating in a challenge today - I've mentioned before how challenges are a great way to get your creative juices flowing...

This time I'm using a card sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #133

And here is what I came up with:

I used Raspberry Ripple cardstock, and Strawberry Slush DSP from the Quatrefancy Specialty pack. I cut the DSP using the largest of the Sunburst Collection Framelits, and matted it on Basic Black cardstock, offset slightly.

The banner is cut from the Gold Foil Sheet, the stamp set is So Very Grateful, both are from the Celebrate The Everyday catalogue.

Now you're not seeing double - I did it this way on purpose!

I double stamped the image and the sentiment with Raspberry Ripple ink and Gold Encore ink. And the joy of the clear block stamps is that I simply eye-balled it for the double stamp! Love it! (Can you tell I like to take the easy way out??)

Thanks to what I'm learning from my poll on the right -> -> -> I am listing the details to make the card below.

Card Base - Raspberry Ripple - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Circle Cut - Quatrefancy DSP Strawberry Slush, Basic Black - largest framelit in Sunburst Collection
Banner - Gold Foil - 1" x 5", and used a square punch to cut the bottom.
Matted Focal Point - Basic Black 3 1/4" x 3", Whisper White 3" x 2 3/4"
Stamp Set: So Very Grateful
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Gold Encore

I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you will come back again!

Happy Stamping
