Romance and Roses

OK, I'll admit it. If you haven't figured out from my style already, I'm a romantic, and sentimental, and all that gushy stuff!

My friends know that, and here are two cards that Maree has made for me.

I found these cards on-line and was oohing and aahing over them. Next thing I know Maree has made them for me!!

Stippled Blossoms is such a lovely set, and she combined it with the pearls and one of our retired keys.

And she made the inside just as beautiful!!

The second card also uses the Stippled Blossoms set, along with a set that has been retired. So romantic!!

Thanks again Maree!

By The Tide & By The Seashore

I didn't know which of these sets to purchase, so - lucky me, I got them both. And look what Sandi showed us how to make:

If you think it looks pretty here - you should see it in real life!! It's actually the cover for a book (I'm using it as an idea book) and would make a gorgeous gift too!

Here are two cards using the same sets. The first is also made by Sandi, and I love the pearls on the starfish.

The second card is made by Maree, and it uses the set in another way, both are stunning!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary

I participated in an Anniversary/Congratulations card swap last month and thought I'd share them with you today.

This card is simple and elegant, it could be used for any anniversary or even those special ones like 25th! This one was made by Linda using the Everything Eleanor stamp set for the flowers.

This is my card, it is much more casual even though we used the same stamp set!

Here is Maree's card with a whole bouquet of flowers and lovely paper piercing.

Finally this is Lynn's card, and she used our White Vellum cardstock to make those beautiful flowers.

Thanks Ladies - I love swaps!!!

Take a peek at my new Project!

I have been wanting to make something like this for a long time and finally got around to getting it started. I'm not sure what to call it, it's not exactly a scrapbook, although it has some of those components, it's not just a journal because it contains more than writing, it's not a Smash Book because it's too organized... If you have any good ideas for a name please leave a message at the bottom of the post!

So far I have the pages and the cover done. I'll post more as I complete them. After I finish this one I hope to have a tutorial available for people who want to give it a try themselves! Everything used in the process of creating it are from the Stampin' Up! catalogues.

The cover dimensions are 8 1/4" x 6 1/4"

And the width at the back is 2 1/4" - lots of room to 'tuck things in'!! Which I love because it holds lots of little surprises!

Only eight pages, but LOTS of pockets and such!

I got the basic idea from Paper Phenomenon, and took it from there!

Thanks for stopping by!

AWOL Apologies

Hello Stampers - I'm finally back! I'm sorry I didn't give notice that life was getting too busy and distracting, but September is here now and everything is almost back to normal!

I want to share with you photos of cards made by one of my downline, Linda. She tells me most of them are cased but they are really beautiful.

The first one uses the Wetlands stamp set, it is definitely one of my favourite sets. You'll be seeing more uses for this set soon!

The second card is so pretty with all the buttons, lace, stamps, and DSP.  Linda said she used the Tea Party stamp set and learned how to make this card from www.stampingandblogging.com

I love the colours in this card, and that Gorgeous Grunge set is on my 'must-have' list!

Finally I love the simplicity of this basic Whisper White card, using the Tea Party stamp set.

Thanks Linda for sharing your beautiful creations! I'm sure my readers will get some great ideas from them.
