October already! Next thing we know it will be Christmas... and for all of you who subscribe to my newsletter, you will begin receiving my 12 Weeks of Christmas emails starting on October 5th. There will be card ideas, gift ideas, and packaging ideas that you can make yourself. If you don't presently receive my newsletter you can sign up on the right hand column.

Yes, it's only 12 weeks until Christmas!!! When will I find time to get everything ready!!! I might as well admit it right up front that I'm never really totally ready - because once I finish something I just add something else I want to do! Christmas is my favourite time of year, and I love decorating, baking, and all things associated with it.

But in my last post I promised you cards - here is a Christmas card I will be sending to my friends this year:

It's very simple, but packs an impact. Plus the sentiment is exactly what I want to express. Hope you like it!

Cherry Cobbler: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", 3 1/4" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White: 5 1/4" x 4", 3" x 2"

Stamp Set:
Peaceful Season (sentiment) Hostess Level 2 set in Holiday Mini Catalogue

Hi Everybody!

I know things have been quiet on my blog but that's because I was on vacation in the United Kingdom - my favourite place in the world after Canada. We had a wonderful time!
Powis Castle in Wales

Big Ben... actually Big Ben is the bell inside the tower, this structure is officially known as St. Stephen's Tower!

Wimbledon Centre Court - be still my heart!... I had goosebumps and there wasn't a seeded tennis player for miles!! I hope someday to come back for the Championships when there will be dozens of seeded players (including Roger Federer) and thousands and thousands of fans!

I'll be back soon with more cards!

Starting this month (September) I've organized a Birthday Club... What the heck is that? you say. Well... if you have ordered Stampin' Up! products from me or participated in one of my classes I want to know the MONTH of your birthday so that I can send you a little present in your birthday month. What do you think of that! No strings attached - other than being one of my customers.

Just leave a message at the bottom of this post giving me your name and birth month, OR you can zap me an email if you'd rather not make it public........

So if your birthday is in September - get your name in to me right away, if it's another month you can wait a minute or two.... I'm looking forward to hearing from you!!

Building a House during Hurricane Earl

Have you ever tried to build a house during a hurricane? It's not easy... even when you're safe inside and using a Stampin' Up! kit!

Here is what I started with - the Decor Accents Design-a-House #120911  $7.50 (Canadian)

Now this is what the designers at Stampin' Up! came up with:

Aren't they adorable?! I absolutely love them. They used the Designer Fabric in the Holiday Mini for the house in red, and Bashful Blue from the Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack for the house in blue.

Since I didn't have a craft knife sharp enough to cut out all those windows I thought I'd try another style... and I'm half satisfied...

What do you think? Any suggestions to jazz it up? Please leave them below!!!
Thanks for stopping by...

OK, making these tags is a lot of fun and even a bit addictive! I've used several different stamp sets and even combined a few:

I've also used some of our new rhinestones, the Decorative Strip Northern Frost (see those snowflakes! And they pop out so easily, and you can poke out all the little holes with toothpicks in a jiffy).

If you want any more details just zap me an email and I'll send them off!
