Cards & Cases

Hello again. Happy last weekend of August...already!!!

I want to share with you the cards we'll be making at the upcoming Cards & Cases class on Monday. We have a Cards & Cases class every month (last Monday) with a different theme each month. We make eight cards (four of each design), with envelopes and a decorated case to store them.

This month's theme is adult birthdays.

The card on the left was designed to be a man's card, but it could be used for women too. The card on the right is not quite as versatile.

The cards for this class need to be quick and easy to make, yet attractive and something you will be proud to send.

The supplies you'll need to make the cards are below, and if you wish to order them on-line simply click on my on-line store. I really appreciate your business.

Which reminds me... everyone who places a $50 or more order with me, or from my on-line Stampin' Up! store, from Tuesday, September 1st to Monday, September 8th will receive a FREE package of Home for Christmas Enamel Dots from the new Holiday Catalogue! But you'll need to email me your address so that I can send them out.

Thank you for stopping by...

Happy Stamping

Snowflakes & Glitter

I know - but what's a better time to think about snowflakes than when you're sure you're not going to see any! Any real ones at least... (smile)

I didn't have the opportunity to go to the Inspire.Create.Share Convention this summer but I did watch the live streaming of some of the events.

Pam Morgan of Stampin' Up! showed how to make a Snowflake Garland and it was one of the first things I wanted to make when I received my pre-order. It's really easy!

The finished banner is about 4 feet or a metre and a bit. You could hang it on a fireplace, or a window, or even on your tree!

The snowflakes and sentiments are found in the new Flurry of Wishes stamp set.

The snowflake pieces really have a lot of texture and is very 3D.

Pam also made a single snowflake to use as a tree ornament and I did as well, but I changed it a tiny bit - can you see the difference? I really like it.

The ornaments are two sided.
The supplies needed to make the banner and ornament are listed below.

Sure hope you're enjoying our wonderful Nova Scotia sunshine!

The punches, stamp set, cord, and snowflakes are all available in the new Holiday Catalogue available on September 1st.

Mini Waterfall Album

I love making mini albums, I think they make wonderful gifts for friends and family.

Here is one that is my favourite:

It measures 4 1/2" wide and 8 1/2" tall.

Inside there is room for fourteen  3 1/2" x 3 1/2" photos/menus/recipes/parenting tips/wedding wishes or whatever you'd like to use it for. There's also a pocket to store memorabilia, tickets, money, and whatever else you can think of...

The flaps flip up and down to create the 'waterfall'.

We made these in a class last night and it was really fun! Hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget if you place a $50 order or more from me this week you will receive a FREE package of ribbon. Just scroll down for more information.

Swaps and Make & Takes

I love being a Stampin' Up! demo, and I love getting together with the Atlantic Stampers Ink team.

We meet every two months and members take turns making cards to swap each month (we all get two cards at the meeting and try to guess who created them.)

Here are the cards from our last meeting:

Chantal's card has a secret opening - the Perfect Plum butterflies are actually attached to the back of the card and tuck under the Tangerine Tango butterfly. Isn't it lovely!!

Linda's card is so cute! She is our Glitter Queen and she restrained herself this time in hopes we didn't guess the card was hers. (We didn't!)

She used the new heavier weight Whisper White cardstock, and it makes such a difference!

We had three Make & Takes: a box made from the new Baker's Box Thinlits, a card from the July Paper Pumpkin, and a card class set from Ronda Wade.

Here is the adorable box - created by Linda

Can you see the glitter? This is the Linda we know!

I'm sure you've seen the July Paper Pumpkin cards already:

And this is the card class - we made them all!

All the fun of swapping and creating, and now as a demo I can place my pre-order from the Holiday Catalogue, and it is full of gorgeous stuff!

If you've been thinking about joining Stampin' Up! and becoming a hobby or business demo, now is a great time - you can choose your starter kit from the annual catalogue AND the Holiday catalogue! Just contact me for more details.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow when I will be sharing some changes and making you an offer or two that hopefully you won't refuse!

Happy Stamping!

Timeless Love Anniversary

Here is another anniversary card, this time I'm using an additional stamp from the Timeless Love stamp set. I really like everything about this set - the sentiments, the type font, the flowers...

The flowers and sentiment are stamped with Black Stazon and coloured with the Stampin' Write Markers. I went over the whole flower lightly at first and then added more layers for deeper colour. Markers used: Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Garden Green, and Perfect Plum.

The card base is Cherry Cobbler, and the Embossing Folder is the new Elegant Dots. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon (retired but still available on the Clearance Rack!)

Here are other sample cards using this set:

I hope you enjoyed these samples. If you would like to order the products to create any of these cards, please contact me.
I'll be back with more tomorrow.

Here are two of my five projects.
