Thank yous for May Orders

As part of my 'customer service' I like to put a little treat of some type in each order before I deliver it. This month it's a tag using new card stock and DSP (just a hint!)

I'm thinking that my customers could attach it to a gift they are giving to someone after they check out the new stuff. The background is one of the new 'in-colors' too!

Supplies used:
Card stock: Gumball Green, Very Vanilla
Ink: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals
Stamp Sets: Mixed Bunch, Happy Greetings
Accessories: Crochet Trim, 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Two Tags Bigz Die, DSP: Be of Good Cheer

Happy Stamping!

New Catalogue Sneak Peeks

It's only one week until the new Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 catalogue goes live on-line! While you're waiting I want to share with you a little sneaky peek of what's in store....

This card is made with two of the new 2012-2014 In Colors: Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse. Both the card stock and the ink are in these colours. The DSP is new as well - Comfort Cafe.

The frame is from a fabulous new stamp set called Papaya Collage.

Ready for another one?

This card - though totally different, is made with the same DSP - Comfort Cafe. The card stock colours are Soft Suede and Cajan Craze.

The bird image is also from the stamp set Papaya Collage.

I hope you liked this little peek! Remember - there is only one week left to order retiring stamp sets, DSP, and retiring accessories. You can see them all here.

If you wish to place an order contact me by Tuesday, May 29th as I will be sending an order on the 30th.

Happy Stamping!
Carol

A Mother of Boys

Well, if you know me personally you know that I am the mother of three adult daughters and the grandmother of two granddaughters. But the last few days I've had the opportunity of being a mother to two teenage young men. Who knew they could be so much fun? Of course I only had them for three days, and they didn't know me so I'm betting they were on their best behaviour! But they were charming, polite, and fun!

This is Joshua and Jacob being introduced to their first live lobster - they took it pretty well in stride...

They even humoured us by trying it - after it was cooked, of course!!

And I think they may have even liked it, but the back-up hamburgers disappeared pretty quickly too!

Joshua and Jacob are members of the St. Michael's Boys Choir from St. Michael's Choir School in Toronto, Ontario, and were touring Nova Scotia giving concerts. There were over 130 boys in the touring choir and their performance was totally sublime - four part harmony, so rich and beautiful. You can hear a sample of their singing at the link below (although not nearly as wonderful as live!)

The choir has travelled around North America and Europe and next year (the choir's 75th anniversary) they travel to Rome.

The choir sings regularly at the masses at St. Michael's Cathedral in Toronto.

Here are Jacob and Josh in their 'business suits' after their performance here in Truro.

Thanks guys! It was a pleasure to host you!
