New stamps, New DSP, New cards!

Hello again!

Here are the cards I promised yesterday. We made them last week at the Retirement and Sneak Peek Class.

Wow, that pinkish orange colour is almost neon in the photo, but in real life it is beautiful Watermelon Wonder. The other new In Colours that I used are Tip Top Taupe and Cucumber Crush. The DSP is from the Cherry on Top Paper Stack, and the sentiment is from the new Friendly Wishes stamp set.

This card is so simple, but effective. The card base is Watermelon Wonder (notice the difference from the previous card! Crazy camera!) The ink is also Watermelon Wonder, and the stamp set is You've Got This - one of my favourites! The background image is stamped off. The lovely lace is also Watermelon Wonder, as is the Blossom Accent (they come in all the new In Colours!)

The last card uses a fun new stamp set that includes 22 stamps! You can make trees and flower baskets, and clouds and ice cream to name just a few. It's called Sprinkles of Life and it's this year's Ronald McDonald House set - which means for every stamp set sold in Canada Stampin' Up! will donate $3 to Canadian Ronald McDonald Houses. You can find it on the inside back cover of the new catalogue... There's even a punch to match! It's called a Tree Builder Punch.

The colours I used are all 2015-2017 In Colours - Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, and Delightful Dijon. Did you notice the embossing on the Whisper White banner? That is the new Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed seeing the cards. Please contact me to order your own new products!

Happy Stamping,
Carol

New Cards to Share, the Garden, and Stampin' Up!'s New Recruiting Promotion

Hello Everybody!

I must confess my garden has been luring me outside a lot lately. I love spring before those voracious insects start sucking my blood. I know that's gross, and I'm all for a balanced environment, but really, why do mosquitoes have to bite us?

Anyway, here's a couple of photos of my sanctuary.

May 14th

May 30

It definitely keeps us out of trouble. I have a little sign that says "My Garden, A Thing of Beauty and a Job Forever". And that's not a typo!!

Now on to the cards. Last week was my Retirement and Sneak Peek class. We made three cards with some of my favourite retiring stamp sets and In Colours that are retiring, and three cards made with brand new stamp sets and new In Colours!

Here are the retiring product cards, and while you can no longer purchase the exact same supplies you can use the basic ideas with other products.

Everything on this card has retired except for the 'thinking of you' sentiment at the bottom, it's from the Sheltering Tree stamp set.

I'm so sad to see this stamp set retire as I had just ordered it! And it makes such a happy card. But there are lots of balloons we can use in other sets.

Only one of the stamp sets used in this card is retiring (the seashells and starfish). The speckled background is from Gorgeous Grunge, and the 'thanks' is from Fabulous Four. The Embossing Folder is Decorative Dots.

Tomorrow I will show you the NEW cards!
