What do Demos Do to Have Fun?
That's one thing Demos do have - is lots of fun, because we love what we do!
This weekend past we had a team meeting at my Stamping Studio - we have one every month so team members manage to attend several throughout the year.
Here are some photos of our day.
Working on the Many Merry Stars
Completed Stars!
And we always share projects we have made - Carolyn's Wreath above.
Sandi's gorgeous card with sponged glimmer paper.
Tracy showed us the card she made using the Hello December Project Life Card Collection. I wish that sentiment was a stamp in that size!
And here is Carolyn's gorgeous framed art - she is our Punch Princess!
Somehow I missed taking photos of lunch (we all bring a bag lunch), our other make & takes, and the goodies that the demos receive when they arrive. Oh well - maybe I'll remember in January!
If you've ever thought about becoming a demo, now is a great time - there is a 25% discount on the Starter Kit, and you get an extra 5% off your purchases during the month of December (on top of your regular demo 20%)
Contact me if you are interested!!
Happy Stamping!

Bleach Technique - Amazing!
At the East Coast Stampin' event held in Truro on November 8th Tracy Elsom presented a technique tutorial using regular household bleach.
She showed us how to use a paint brush (or an aqua painter without any water in the chamber) to paint the bleach onto embossed images.
You can leave the lightened areas as is, or paint them with another colour (as shown in the two centre card fronts at the bottom of the photo below.
Also by using layers of paper towel dampened with bleach to actually stamp onto cardstock. This is shown in the two outside cards at the bottom of the photo below.
She also gave us a tip on how to avoid the strong aroma of the bleach - store a small amount in a clear glass bottle, after a few days the smell is much less pungent.
Thanks Tracy for the inspiration!

Second Day at the Craft Fair, and the best seller is...
Craft Fairs can sometimes be very tiring, but this weekend I have my youngest daughter helping me and we are having a lot of fun.
I've met some wonderful people who are interested in Stampin' Up! (Hi to you all!) and I'm looking forward to getting to know them better.
The atmosphere at the fair is wonderful - it didn't hurt that we've got some snow on the ground and with the Christmas music playing... it's grand!
My best seller so far has been....(drum roll please)....
Here are more of the items I have for sale.

Everybody reads them and laughs - even if they don't purchase them. I guess making people happy is about the best thing I can ask for.
And you'd be amazed at how many Grinches there are in the world... I heard about a lot of them yesterday. :)
Here are more of the items I have for sale.

Craft Fair Goodies
Well, we've just finished East Coast Stampin's Christmas Event last weekend, and now this weekend I have a two day craft fair... something is wrong with my planning calendar, it bunches dates up when I'm not looking...!
Here are a few of the little eye catchers that I've made up - great for stocking stuffers or even Secret Santa gifts.
The first are Grinch Pills...
And then there are snowman parts:
Of course there is the old reliable Magic Reindeer Food:
I love these little Elf Sleighs made with the Fry Box Die - you can find directions for them on Jackie Topa's blog, she is a genius with a punch!

The sleigh is filled with a bag of candy. Jackie used candy canes for runners but I chose to use our new Kraft paper.
I'll be back with more Craft Fair items tomorrow.

East Coast Stampin' Christmas 2014 Event a SUCCESS!
After months of planning, and weeks of cutting, counting, and bagging, our Christmas event went off without a hitch (well, at least none that showed too much!) We had such fun!
It is so thrilling to present to 40 women and have them give you back such appreciation and fun. It makes it so worthwhile. Our team consisted of Maree Streeter, Sandi Ross, and myself, with the help of Maree's daughter Amberley on the day of the event.
Of course we had the help of volunteers Tracy Elsom and Shallon Vickers who gave presentations on techniques. And we were thrilled to have been chosen as one of the twelve events in North America to have a staff member from Stampin' Up! Head Office visit with us. We were so fortunate to have Carrie Cudney! Carrie shared techniques, ideas for Project Life by Stampin' Up! and messages from Head Office.
